Innovation in Motion: Pentatech srl Launches New Robotic Arm Solutions
Pentatech srl is a leading Italian company specializing in the design and manufacture of peripheral machinery for the corrugated packaging industry.
Since its foundation in 2007, the company has enjoyed continuous growth, significantly expanding its range of services, developing new projects and strengthening its presence in international markets. A strong commitment to innovation, responsive after-sales service and meticulous attention to tailor-made engineering solutions for each customer have been the key drivers behind the company’s development over the years. Pentatech’s product portfolio includes automatic and robotic prefeeders for flexographic printers and rotary and flatbed die-cutters, automatic and robotic palletizing systems, breaker lines, a complete range of cleaning and stacking systems for printed and die-cut sheets, as well as material handling solutions for both work-in-progress and finished products, including WIP storage systems, multi-level warehouses and finished product collection lines. The company also provides a comprehensive range of services, from plant layout design and complete system engineering to electrical panel and software development, technical consulting, commissioning, after-sales support and spare parts management.
With more than 1,000 material handling systems installed worldwide, Pentatech relies on an experienced in-house team of specialists capable of providing support across most European countries, North Africa, Saudi Arabia and the Americas. To stay aligned with evolving market demands, the company regularly participates in major international trade fairs and is an active member of industry associations including FEFCO, TAPPI, CIS and GIFCO. For 2025, Pentatech’s latest innovations have focused on integrating advanced robotic systems into feeding and palletizing operations.
Among the company’s newest developments are a robotic prefeeder equipped with an anthropomorphic robot arm and an automatic palletizing station with two robotic arms, specifically designed for flexographic lines producing american boxes. The introduction of anthropomorphic robots has delivered significant advantages in terms of energy savings, higher operational reliability, greater layout flexibility and reduced maintenance complexity. Another key benefit is their versatility: the same prefeeder can supply both top-print and bottom-print flexographic machines through a simple software-controlled command change. The robotic prefeeder has been specifically engineered for integration with mini-line and mid-line machines. Likewise, the robotic palletizing station is available in different configurations to suit the type and format of the RSC flexographic machine it serves.
For die-cut products, Pentatech has also developed the new automatic PLP palletizer during the past year. This machine has been designed exclusively for products manufactured on both rotary and flatbed die-cutters. Its main advantage is the ability to palletize two product stacks simultaneously, significantly increasing production capacity. These developments represent the company’s most important innovations introduced throughout 2025, alongside the continuous upgrading and refinement of its entire machinery portfolio.
“At Pentatech, we believe that people and investment are essential drivers for developing new ideas and innovative solutions. We are currently completing the expansion of our manufacturing facilities with the construction of a new production building, allowing us to continue supporting our growth,” says Simone Zaffagnini, CEO of Pentatech srl. From the design and development of new solutions through to final assembly, every stage of the manufacturing process is managed entirely in-house by a team of more than 50 employees. Pentatech’s solutions integrate seamlessly with all types of casemakers and cover every stage of production, from material handling to finished product management. This comprehensive product portfolio, combined with nearly two decades of industry experience, has enabled the company to build a customer base of more than 300 active clients worldwide. “In a constantly evolving industry, the new challenges our customers face every day motivate us to develop increasingly innovative solutions,” says Daniele Benedetti, Sales Manager at Pentatech srl.
